Maja Martina Merljak is a professional actress with expertise in speech techniques. She graduated from the Academy of Theatre, Radio, Film, and Television, specializing in dramatic acting and artistic speech under the guidance of professors Dušan Jovanović and Janez Hočevar.
In addition to her formal education, Maja further honed her skills in on-camera acting through international training in London, Prague, and Warsaw, collaborating with renowned acting instructors. She embodies exceptional energy as an actress, contributing not only to theatrical performances but also to film and television productions. Her versatile talents extend to hosting events, voice-over work for animated series and films, and serving as an acting coach for various media projects, including films, series, and commercials.
Maja is a multifaceted creative professional, and in recent years, she has intensified her focus on screenwriting. In 2022, she made the decision to pursue further studies in London, specializing in screenwriting.

Her outstanding role in the film "Pokrajina št. 2" earned her the Vesna Award for Best Actress at the 11th Festival of Slovenian Film.
Beyond acting, Maja is actively involved in hosting events, including EMA 2099, Miss Universe, Slovenka leta 2010, Slovenec leta 2011, and the 50th-anniversary celebration of Pokal Vitranc. She is also a skilled voice actor for animated, live-action, and documentary films like "Garfield," "Popotovanje Cesarskega pingvina," and "Smrkci."
